One oak plate, four carved compartments and four Trees of Life competing for the available engraving time.
THE PLATE / FOUR COMPARTMENTS
Four trees. One piece of oak.
Four compartments are carved from one oak blank, then each receives a different Tree of Life engraving. A continuous engraved border ties the four designs together and gives the square plate a finished edge. The source repository preserves the cutting outline and border artwork, while the surviving photograph records the completed object. Each compartment gets its own tree without turning the plate into four unrelated designs. Four trees in one piece of oak are already quite enough narrative ambition.
