Restoring a century-old lens before designing a new wooden camera body around its mechanics and character.
The original optics and shutter are being cleaned and tested before the dimensions of the new wooden body are locked in.

Laser-cut wooden frames that hold interchangeable photographic filters in place of ordinary lenses.

Mix code, cardboard, modules and unreasonable optimism.
Cut, solder, sand, debug, repeat. Usually repeat again.
Publish the files, firmware and a path through the chaos.
ABOUT TIMBERROUGH / USEFUL THINGS, QUESTIONABLE METHODS
TimberRough is where wood is usually involved. So are sensors, firmware, magnets, pumps, ultraviolet paint and at least one prototype that deserved what happened to it.
Some builds take a weekend. Others remain “almost finished” for months. When something works, the photographs, files, code and mistakes stay here.
